Happy Quarantine Day 1 Million! Now, I don't know about you guys and gals, but I am starting to go stir crazy during quarantine and my wallet is starting to feel it! The most recent purchase is from Yves Saint Laurent also known as YSL in their beauty section because they had an "Mothers Day Sale" which I took full advantage on!

The only downfall with this brand is that it is not cruelty free. However, I have wanted to try some products from this brand for a while, and they were on sale so I decided I would try it out. What I was pleased with was all of the packaging was plastic free, which was super easy to compost and/or recycle. So If you want to see a haul from a girl who knows nothing about makeup the LET'S GO!
LIPSTICKS
1) Rouge Volupte Shine - Prune Alcazar
I purchased this lipstick because it was a GORGEOUS pink/burgundy colour which I find super flattering with my complexion and out of all the colours, it was a shade that I could get the most use out of!

2) Rouge Volupte Shine - Rose Castel
I decided to pick up this colour of lipstick because it looked like the most neutral shade I could find that wasn't a liquid lipstick. I have been unable to find a liquid lipstick that does not dry my lips out excessively therefore I decided I would get a lipstick balm as opposed to something that is heavy duty. Also this colour is perfect for spring/summer!

3) Rouge Volupte Shine - Prune Clash
This lipstick is the most "fall" lippie to me, but I love the dark purple almost burgundy colour and it is a very flattering colour with my complexion so I decided to give it a go!

4) Rouge Volupte Shine - Red Tension
The final lipstick I purchased was a traditional red colour which is just a classic red which I can wear with pretty much anything. A classic Colour for a classic brand! I am pleasantly surprised!

5) Volupte Tint-In-Oil - I Rose It Now
This lip oil is not new to me as I have had this exact item previously and I did really enjoy it. Its a perfect natural "perfect shade of pink" look which woks for everyday no makeup looks!

Final Thoughts
Packaging
Like I said before, I was super pleased that the shipping packaging came in cardboard and tissue paper. All of which can be recycled as opposed to plastic wrap!
The actual product looks and feels very luxurious. It has a very classic look while also having a good weight to it which screams fancy shmancy! Clearly I am not!
Colour Pay Off
Yes I spell colour with a "u" I am Canadian OKAY! The colour payoff is great! One swipe and I have a new shade on my lips!
Longevity
It lasts for quite a bit as well. It is by all means not super long lasting but I never expected it to be! So I am pleased! It also feels good on the lips. Very much like an oil (which it should because of the name) but it lasts. Does any of that make sense?! No, moving on!
Smell
The smell is the only thing I am not thrilled about. It has a very distinct smell, all throughout the lipstick and lip oils that I don't like but I will still use the products. I don't know how to explain it but if you buy any of the lip products let me know if you smell it too!
Overall Thoughts
Overall I am very happy with the purchase. I would not buy these products full price cause $49 is absurd, but on sale I can see myself splurging again on some lipstick that when you put it on just makes you feel fancy! However I will not need a new lipstick for years so see you in a while haha!
