Bio Oil? Used on your face?

Hello, hello, hello! Today on Simply Sydney Heather I am going to be telling you about how I use Bio Oil instead of under eye cream. Yup. You heard me correctly.

A little known fact about me, I highly dislike both the feel and the cost of eye creams. If you are also anything like me than you probably thought that Bio Oil was only for stretchmarks. With that, I didn't really believe all of the hype that came with the product, that was until it has been mentioned more and more in celebrity beauty skincare routines and I got to thinking. If an item is used to fade the look of stretchmarks, it must be moisturizing. And if it is moisturizing, can I use it on my face?!

I then proceeded to look on the inter-web and fell down a rabbit hole searching the multiple different uses for Bio Oil and I tried to determine whether or not I could use Bio Oil on my face. My initial thought process being that because I have oily skin, perhaps I should use an oil based moisturizer to replenish my skin of the nutrients it needs, which would in turn make my skin less oily. I also though that because I do not like the feel of thick moisturizers under my eyes that an oil might be better suited for my likes.

Turns out you can in fact use Bio Oil on your face to help moisturize and fade scarring, and celebrities have been using this "miracle oil" on their faces for years.
