Welcome back everyone! I hope you guys and gals are all staying safe and staying at home! The sooner we accept the fact that we need to stay home the sooner this whole thing will be over!
Anyway that wasn't the point of this post! I recently made a blog post telling you guys what my Yoga essentials are. This is a follow up to that post and these are items that I feel would be helpful for your practice however you do not need them! Essentially, if you love yoga and you have some extra money lying around and wanna buy some new yoga stuff maybe check some of these out!

1) Yoga Socks
Yoga socks are exactly what they sound like! They are socks which are used to help you grip to the mat while also doing your asana's. There are two different types. The first being the type with the toes missing. The lack of toes in the socks help you grip to the mat so you do not slip and slide! The second type are actual socks, but there are the little grippy bits on the bottom of the feet to help you from slipping! I don't personally have these yet but I am going to look into knitting my own! Should be easy enough right (wrong).

2) Knee Pads
The next item I think it super helpful during your yoga practice are knee pads. you can get different types to fit your need but they essentially just give your knees more support which can be super helpful if you have knee issues!
Again, I don't personally have this product because i just use my yoga blanket or I fold my yoga mat over to give my knee extra support but if you want to try knee pads here is a link!
3) Foam Roller
Foam rollers are used to loosen up your muscles if you find yourself struggling with tightness and aches and pains following your practice! I have one of these but that is because I got it in a mystery box yoga edition. I haven;t used it yet, but if I ever do use it I'll let you know how I feel on it!

4) Weighted Eye Mask
Now I know what you are thinking, aren't weighted eye masks used for sleeping? Yes, yes they are! But I use mine to help me relax and embrace the experience I just had post yoga workout. I place my weighted eye mask on when I am in Savasana or Corpse pose at the end of the class and it really helps me meditate and take in everything I had just experienced!
It also doesn't need to be a weighted eye mask, you can use a regular one OR you can just put a towel or blanket over your eyes! Up to you but it really helps me relax post workout!
5) Yoga Books
Yoga books are extremely helpful to your yoga practice however they are not necessary! I use my yoga books to help me learn more about the history of the yoga practice and to help me learn the different poses! It is also super helpful for at-home practices if you have any questions regarding a pose, you can just look in your books!
*These books also give you yoga sequences to follow so you essentially never have to pay for a yoga class again!
6) Incense & Essential Oils

The final item I think are extremely helpful to your yoga practice but are not necessarily essential would be incense or essential oils. Anything you can use aromatherapy wise to calm you down and put you in the right head-space to fully participate in your practice! You can even use candles if that's what you prefer!
Well there ya go! here are some more thing I feel that can be helpful during your yoga practice! Let me know if you agree with this list! Also let me know if I missed anything! I am ALWAYS down to try something new!
